1) Knows the characteristics of science and scientific method and the development of science in the historical process.
2) Discusses the importance of science literacy.
3) Recognises the relationship between science-technology-society and environment.
4) Discusses the aims of science teaching, the reflections of learning theories on science teaching, the characteristics of the science curriculum and its relationship with other courses.
5) Discusses the importance of science process skills, life skills, engineering and design skills in science curriculum.
6) Apply concept development processes and techniques in science course.
7) Recognises and applies the methods and techniques used in determining and eliminating misconceptions in science course.
8) Understands the concepts in the third and fourth grade science curriculum and the issues to be considered in teaching these concepts.
