| Kabul Koşulları | Kabul Koşulları Kabul Koşulları (1) Kocaeli Üniversitesi birimlerinde ön lisans ve lisans düzeyinde birinci sınıflara öğrenci kaydı, Öğrenci Seçme ve Yerleştirme Merkezi tarafından yapılır. Üniversiteye kayıtla ilgili işlemler, Öğrenci İşleri Daire Başkanlığı tarafından yürütülür. Özel yetenek gerektiren programların sınavları ile seçme ve yerleştirme işlemleri, Yükseköğretim Kurulu kararları çerçevesinde Üniversite tarafından ilgili birimlerce yapılır. (2) Kayıt tarihi, kayıt süresi ve gerekli belgeler, Öğrenci İşleri Dairesi Başkanlığınca duyurulur. Kayıt için zamanında başvurmayan veya gerekli belgeleri zamanında sağlamayan öğrenciler kayıt hakkını kaybeder. Kayıt için sunulan belgelerde eksiklik veya tahrifat olduğunun belirlenmesi veya öğrencinin başka bir yükseköğretim kurumuna kayıtlı olması veya başka bir yükseköğretim kurumundan çıkarma cezası almış olması hallerinde, kesin kayıt yapılmış olsa bile kayıt iptal edilir. (3) Yurtiçi veya dışında eşdeğer programda öğrenimine başlamış bir öğrenci yatay geçiş için başvuru yapabilir. Öğrencilerin kabulü dönem başlamadan, her bir öğrencinin şartları ve başvuru yaptığı derece dikkate alınarak incelenir ve özel olarak değerlendirilir. (4) Üniversite tarafından onaylanmış ve bir anlaşma ile sınırları belirlenmiş öğrenci değişim programları kapsamında yurtdışından gelen öğrenciler bölümde İngilizce olarak verilen dersleri alabilirler. Öğrenci Türkçe dil bilgisi yeterliliğine sahipse Ders Planı`nda belirtilen herhangi bir Türkçe derse kayıt yaptırabilir. | Kabul Koşulları (İngilizce) | Admission Requirements: (1) Admissions to Kocaeli University is based on the OSYM exam scores and the registrations are carried out by the Student Affairs. The programs that require special skills exams abide to the Higher Education Council requirements and accept students through previously announced exams. (2) Registration dates and the required documents are announced by the Student Affairs. Students who miss the deadlines or those with missing documents lose their chance to register. If a student is enrolled in another university or expelled from another university, his/her registration is nullified. | Dereceyi Alabilme Koşulları, Kuralları | Bu bölüm, yüksek öğretimde Sınıf Öğretmenliği alanında 240 AKTS kredilik birinci aşama derece sistemine tabidir. Program başarılı bir şekilde tamamlanıp, program yeterlilikleri sağlandığında Sınıf Öğretmenliği alanında Lisans derecesine sahip olunur. | Dereceyi Alabilme Koşulları, Kuralları (İngilizce) | This is an undergraduate degree program in Elementary Education. | Program Genel Profili | Sınıf Öğretmenliği Anabilim Dalı programında, öğrencilere alan eğitimi ve öğretmenlik mesleği bilgi ve becerilerini kapsayan dört yıllık bir lisans eğitimi verilmektedir. Öğretmenlik mesleği eğitimi uygulamaları, Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı ile YÖK işbirliği çerçevesinde Milli Eğitim Müdürlüklerince belirlenen ilköğretim okullarında 6.yarıyılda Okul Deneyimi, 7 ve 8.yarıyıllarda ise Öğretmenlik Uygulaması I ve II dersleriyle yürütülmektedir. Anabilim dalımız, öğrencilerin mesleki bilgi ve deneyimlerinin güçlendirilmesinin yanı sıra, kişisel gelişimlerini destekleyen, yaratıcılıklarını ve sosyal ilişkilerini geliştiren spor, sanat, iletişim ve kültür faaliyetlerine yönlendirilmelerini de önemsemektedir. Program mezunları İlkokul 4. sınıfa kadar sınıf öğretmeni olarak görev yapabilmektedirler. Bir kısmı ise çeşitli fakültelerde akademisyen olarak çalışabilmektedirler. | Program Genel Profili (İngilizce) | Eelementary Education Program is a 4-year program which consists of both content and pedagogical education. | Mezuniyet Koşulları | Mezuniyet Koşulları Mezuniyet Koşulları (1) Öğrenimlerini başarıyla tamamlayan öğrencilere, mezun oldukları fakülte, yüksekokul ile bölüm veya meslek yüksekokulu ile program adını belirten Üniversitenin diploması verilir. Diplomalara mezuniyet tarihi, diploma numarası ve mezun olduğu dönem adı yazılır. (2) Ön lisans ve lisans diploması verilebilmesi için öğrencinin genel not ortalamasının en az 2.00 olması gerekir. (3) Genel not ortalaması 3.00-3.50 olan öğrenciler onur öğrencisi, 3.5-4.00 olan öğrenciler yüksek onur öğrencisi listesine geçerek mezun olur ve bu öğrencilerin durumları diplomalarında belirtilir. (4) Diplomada fakülte için dekan ve Rektör, yüksekokul ve meslek yüksekokulu için müdür ve Rektör imzaları bulunur. (5) Diğer üniversitelerden nakil yoluyla gelen öğrencilerin lisans diploması alabilmeleri için son iki yarıyılı Üniversitede tamamlamış olmaları zorunludur. | Mezuniyet Koşulları (İngilizce) | Graduation Requirements: (1) Students who successfully fullfill all the requirements receive a diploma from their program. Recognition of Prior Learning
Lateral or vertical transfer student admission is carried out basing on the "The Transfer Regulations for Associate and Undergraduate Degrees, Double Majors, Sub-specialties and Credit Transfer Regulations among Institutions". The prior learning of transfer students is recognized as per the relevant regulations of Council of Higher Education and under the coordination of the Adaptation Committee.
Kocaeli University guarantees in advance that all credits gained and courses received by an Erasmus student after the mobility abroad will be fully recognized and transferred into Kocaeli University system and upon arrival with the approval of the authorities and the student. While preparing the" Erasmus Credit Transfer and Grade Equivalency Table" the ECTS grades are transmitted to Kocaeli University grading system.
Turkish higher education institutions are in the start-up phase about the recognition of non-formal and informal education. However; computer and foreign language skills that students improve on their own, are evaluated through exemption examinations by the university. Students who prove to be proficient in such exams are exempted from related course(s).

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Examination, assessment and grading procedure is mainly based on Kocaeli University Education and Training Regulations for Associate and Undergraduate Degrees Depending on the nature of the course various instruments such as midterms, final exams, short exams, presentations, assignments, projects, portfolios and applications may be involved in the assessment process of a semester on condition that students are informed about their weights upon registry. Contribution of these activities to final grading range between 30% -70% and So as to be eligible to take the final exam, a student has to fulfill the attendance requirement of 70% for theoretical and 80 % for practical courses. Once this requirement is fulfilled, attendance is not required again in case of a failure and retaking that course. Final grading of a course is determined on the basis of semester studies and final exam. Those with certified and officially approved excuses are also given a makeup exam.
