Metabolism, cellular respiration and fermentation; photosynthesis, animal structure and function; systems in animals

Weekly Schedule

1) Introduction to metabolism, cell respiration and fermentation
2) Photosynthesis
3) Comparison of cell respiration and photosynthesis
4) Animal structure and function; reproductive system, asexual and sexual reproduction in animals.
5) Nutrition and digestion in animals
6) Feeding mechanisms in animals
7) Circulation system in animals, comparison of animals with open and closed circulation system, examination of heart, blood vessels and blood structures
8) Midterm
9) Gas exchange in animals, respiratory surfaces, respiratory organs and respiratory mechanics.
10) Comparison of excretory system, osmoregulation, excretion products in animals and diversity in discharge systems
11) nervous system in animals, types of nervous system
12) Central and peripheral nervous system
13) sensory mechanisms, hearing and balance, sight, smell and taste reception, touch
14) Endocrine system, hormones, feedback, functions of hormones
15) Support and motion systems in animals, external and internal skeleton, bone types, joints, muscle types and contraction mechanism and open and closed end experiments for these subjects
