3) Know and explain the contemporary understanding of nature of science and its components.

6) Investigates academic studies regarding nature of science in science education.
7) Plans and presents a lesson which is about nature of science.

The definition of science: objectives, characteristics, development and its phases. History of science: the philosophy of science, philosophical approaches their effect on the development of science, the history of invention. Epistemology, ontology: the nature of scientific concepts, how knowledge is constructed, scientific knowledge and its properties. The concept of presence. Scientific method: scientific thinking, scientific inquiry. Science and society: the sociology and anthropology of science, science ethics.
