1) Explains the differences between young learners and learners at other ages in terms of learning language structures, skills and sub-skills.
2) Defines visual, auditory, etc. learner styles of young learners.
3) Selects teaching points according to the learners' cognitive development and language level.
4) Designs group and pair work activities based on collaborative learning and interaction and design activities to improve the use of language in everyday life.
5) Teaches language through games, drama, role-plays and stories taking learner differences into consideration.
6) Uses classroom language at an appropriate level in accordance with the language level of young learners
7) Chooses methods and techniques appropriate for young learner classes.
8) Uses technological resources and materials to support language development of young learners.
