Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
1) Distinguish the differences between teaching turkish as mother tongue and teaching it as a foreign language.
2) Associate teaching turkish especially as a foreign language with culture dimension.
3) Express the therotical arguments take place in teaching other nations' languages as foreign languages and practical approach styles to this case.
4) Recognize the european language file and express the benefits of teaching turkish as a foreign language to presentation of Turkey.
5) Promote various course-books used to teach Turkish as a foreign language and critize them.

Determining the difference between teaching Turkish as mather language and foreign language. Relating teaching Turkish as foreign language to cultural aspect. The theoretical discussions about teaching other languages as foreing language and methodological approaches in this field. Foundetional framework in foreign language teaching. Introduction to European Language Portfolio. The contribution of teaching Turkish as a foreing language to advertising of Turkey. Introduction and evaluation of coursebooks used in teaching Turkish as a foreign language.
