Weekly Schedule

1) What is Texture? What are types of tissue? Working paper is halved. On left side, a palm is drawn as extended and this drawing area covers the types of intonation pencil drawn. On the right side, different kinds of technique and mixed media are used.
2) REVIEW: To use of repeated one item multiple times in the same or similar re- creates the subjects. Elements and objects that are very near each other serve as a unifying bond when they have been seen side by side because of their similarities. In this regard, repetition plays a facilitative role in design period. There are three types of repetition: full repetition, repetition, and variable repetition. This study is made as a study of team work for 5 persons in four weeks.
3) The work which is given the previous week will be continued.
4) The team work will be continued and the completed drawing will be drawn again as 3 dimensional. Some materials are used in this study such as a model of cardboard and Styrofoam.
5) The work which is given the previous week will be continued.
6) Students make a design as using variable repetition method on 40x40 cm paper.
7) A model study will be make according to the design which is make the previous week.
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) The design which is make the previous week will be painted by using gouache on 40x 40 cm paper.
10) Form connotation studies: The second step of design studies is three dimensional surveys. According to Buckminister Fuller “form is to make a specific order on matter. Student chooses a single geometric form to create a unit and then uses these units to form a module. The resulting form constitutes a structure. Another study is to make a structure using the same material in a different format. Hence, three dimensional structures occur. The aim of this study is to teach geometric forms in nature to the students. At the end of this study, student will perceive the source of form on his/her design. Especially, these applications are very useful in furniture design.
11) To make a paint study on a 35x50 cm. paper within the context of Gestalt Principles.
12) To interpret of the space, expression techniques and three dimensional geometrical objects. A model study will be make by using model cartoon.
13) Creativity improvement studies: The main purpose of design education is to consider the subconscious, consciousness and visual events as a whole. In the end, everything which is thought will be perceived by eyes. In the process of thinking and design, studies which are formed by information and intelligence result in a creative manner. The most prominent feature of the creative education is to include a creative system. In this study, students read some literatures such as Dante’s and Boris Vian’s works. And then they design a space according to these literatures’ issues and make a model. In another application, students listen music and then they design a space according to rhythms of these music. Adagio or allegro tempos affect the form of space and space elements in respect to dynamic or static effects. The primary goal of this study is to give an intellectual and aesthetical education to the student. Diderot said that beauty takes place in the art according to virtual fundamentals and philosophy principles.
14) Creativity improvement studies will be continued.
15) To be controlled work files and to be completed of uncompleted works.
16) Final examination
