Weekly Schedule

1) Intelligent Building concept, the historical development and current understanding.
2) Classification of intelligent building systems. The concept of sensors needed for the system.
3) Sensors operating principles, installation details (temperature, humidity, smoke detectors).
4) Sensors operating principles, installation details (light, gravity, and motion sensors being).
5) Lighting control systems, identification, location and purposes they are used.
6) Heating / Cooling and climate control systems, identification, types, their usage and objectives.
7) Access control systems, identification, types, their usage and objectives.
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Fire control / suppression systems, identification, types, their usage and objectives.
10) Burglar control / alarm systems, identification, types, their usage and objectives.
11) Camera control systems, identification, types, their usage and objectives.
12) Smart home / office appliances and controls.
13) The relationship between structure and material design of intelligent system with sensors, selection, editing criteria.
14) Sensor - Form - Material compliance criteria.
15) Example of smart home / office design studies.
