Course Contents

The meaning and development of design geometry throughout history. Projection, Projection types, Projection planes, displaying point on correlating vertical projection planes, coordinate systems and place of a point in space. Display of a line on correlating projection planes with plane traces. Various lines and their relative locations. Various planes and lines within, relative locations of two different planes. Line-Line, Plane-Line, Plane-Plane relations, intersections, plane shifting, rotating and application methods. Circle on a correlating vertical projection. Display of curvilinear surfaces. Intersections of curvilinear surfaces, intersections of curvilinear surfaces and lines, polygons, cones, cylinder, sphere etc.
