Definition of basic design elements : point, line, direction, plane, volume, shape, space, measurement, ratio, interval, texture, colour, movement, light, shadow; Visual perception principles: proximity, similarity, distinctive property, transparency. Relations of figure and ground , expressions of figure and ground; Definition of basic design principles: Symmetry, dominance, rhythm and repetition, harmony , contrast, hierarchy, balance, unity; Examining concepts of Metaphor, optical, transformation and deformation on samples
