1) Use recognizing skills of yourselfself and others

4) Explain the basic concepts and principles of personal and professional relationships
5) Use the techniques creating useful relationships with patients/ individuals
6) Comment on effective listening and its importance.
7) Aware of patient/individual problem-causing behaviour in relationships and communication problems and be able to deal with these
8) Use techniques and approaches to suitable communication in some special situations (mother-child death, crying, aggression etc.)
9) Understands the necessity of beautiful and effective speech
10) Explains the basic midwifery concepts (empathy, stress, anxiety, etc.) and principles involved in personal and professional relationships.
11) Uses appropriate communication techniques when faced with special situations (mother-infant death, postpartum sadness, aggression, etc.)

Course Contents

This course covers; The importance of communication aacording to profession, The characteristics and definition of communication, Verbal and nonverbal communication, Factors that effect the communication ( culture, perception, feelings, values ), Professional and social relationship, To know itself and others, passive, aggressive and manipulative behaviour, confidental communication skills, control of anger, helpful relationship and basic characteristics (cofidence, empaty, esteem, sincerity, friendship etc.), communication technics that developing and preventing the auxiliary relationship, active hear, to approach some beheviar of ill and healty person (weep (crying), demand of over request, reject, be afraid, complain) communication during some special situations, mother and baby death and lost, communication with person who couldn’t use verbal communication, sensation absence and loneliness, hopelessness.
