Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Understand the entailment of elocution and speaking effectively,
2) Enumerate what sub-skills are required for elocution,
3) Enumerate and explain the skills take part in elocution,
4) Use their breath properly and effectively,
5) Notice and apply the properly articulated points of vowels in Turkish Language.
6) Properly stress and intonate words, phrases, and sentences,
7) Be able to use the proper tone of voice to the meaning and context,
8) Be able to realize the importance of body language in interaction, and give attention to harmony between their bodies and words,
9) Be able to apply those they have gained with this lesson on education and compose new texts .

What is diction, voice and sounds of language, amendable voice flaws: weak voice, tremulous voice, thin voice, hoarse voice, respirator, audio device, sounds of Turkish, sound characteristics of Turkish language, respiration and its importance, respiration types, respiration exercises, articulation, the diction of vowels and consonants, stress, intonation, style in diction, body language, practice
