Course Contents

History of school health services and school health nursing, the place of the school health service in the world and Turkey and its importance, the roles and responsibilities of the school health nurse, frequent health problems in school-age children,the general characteristics of children of school age, the positive health behaviors in school-age children Responsibilities of health nurse,assessment of health in school-aged children (observation, monitoring, screening and follow-up forms, etc.), risk behaviors in schoolchildren (smoking, alcohol use and drug use, malnutrition, inadequate physical activity), preventive mental health studies in the school ( bullying ) safe schools and the specialities of safe school school health units, the specialities of health units the examples of school health studies, the examples of health promotion in the school program, a school health nurse (guest) to share their experiences
