1) Determine social work intervention towards neglected and abused children and location of multi discipliner working.
2) Explain maltreatment towards children, conception and comprehenson of neglect and abuse.
3) Understands the concept and scope of child protection and children at risk.
4) Determine effects of neglect and abuse on children and their environment.
5) Recognize interview technics and process of working with children who are victims of violence.
6) Determine perpetrator's profile.

In this course, the concept and scope of child maltreatment, neglect and abuse, theories about abuse, children at risk, the consequences of neglect and abuse, children's rights and child protection, social work intervention in child neglect and abuse, characteristics of abusers, multi-disciplinary study. location, etc. topics are emphasized.
