Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) To be able to do vector analysis and to perform operations related to vector quantities.
2) To be able to explain the concepts of force, force systems, moment according to point and moment according to axis.
3) To be able to solve the problems of the particle and of the rigid body balance.
4) To be able to solve the problems of the gravity center of objects.
5) To be able to explain the concept of friction and to solve the problems related to friction.
6) To be able to explain the concept of inertia moment and to calculate the moment of field inertia and moment of mass inertia.
7) To be able to solve the problems related to the statics of various engineering systems.

Vectors and vector analysis, plane and space forces systems, particle balance, Moments of the force systems according to a point and an axis, the balance of the rigid bodies, the gravity center of the objects, the friction, the inertia moment of the fields and the inertia moment of the masses.
