Introduction to flow dynamics, vehicle coordinate system, drag and lift forces, flow separation, boundary layer theory, drag coefficients of common geometries, drag coefficients of vehicles, parallel flow over flat plates, flow over cylinders and spheres, effect of surface roughness, compressibility in gas flow, accelerate a gas to supersonic speeds, changes in the direction of shock waves, the importance of aerodynamics in vehicle design process, impact of aerodynamics on vehicle performance and emissions, wind tunnel test.
