1) Recognize the basic units used in flow calculations
2) Knows basic concepts such as compressible/incompressible, laminar/turbulence, natural/forced, steady/unsteady flows.
3) Learning the concepts of density, relative density, vapor pressure, cavitation, energy and specific heat, viscosity,
4) Calculate the forces applied to flat and curved surfaces.
5) Knows mass, energy and Bernoulli equations
6) Perform momentum analysis in flow systems
7) Calculate local and regional load losses for flow within the pipe and use Moody diagram

The basic principles of fluid mechanics, viscosity, compressibility, pressure, Lagrange and Euler methods continuity equation, Bernoulli's Equation, and applications, two-and three-dimensional flow, laminar and turbulent flow, boundary layer theory, the energy losses in pipes.
