Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Students will be able to complete certain basic operations using Computer, make technical drawings of parts using AutoCAD program to gain practise ability and express introduction of AutoCAD program, load the menu and toolbars and arrange operations on the status bar and screen menu.
2) Students will be able to open and save files and output operations, create a new drawing file, include and exclude a file, save a file with another name, close a file or all open files.
3) Students will be able to explain and use Draw, slime and back space, editing, Line, circle, arc, hatch, donut, erase, undo, redo, Fillet, trimming, scale, etc. instructions.
4) Students will be able to use layer, dimensions and writing statements and define layers and create a new layer, present dimensioning, use dimensioning statements (linear, angular, radius and so on.) actively and set MTEXT (multi-line text), text style (font style) and scaletext.
5) Students will be able to recognize the requirements and importance of sectionning, choose the appropriate section planes, explain the properties of cross-section appearance, determine the appropriate cross-section plane and explain section types and special cases in sections.
6) Students will be able to draw perspectives from the drawings and explain appearance extraction techniques.
7) Students will be able to define manufacturing and assembly pictures, enumerate assembly photos and draw manufacturing pictures using assembly pictures.

Course Contents

Engineering Drawings, Diagrams and Standards; Drawing types and diagrams, their symbols, dimensions, tolerances and projections; Identifying title block information; Microfilm, microfiche and computerised presentations; Specification 100 of the Air Transport Association (ATA) of America; Aeronautical and other applicable standards including ISO, AN, MS, NAS and MIL; Wiring diagrams and schematic diagrams.
