1) Students get informed about the early sufi texts. Students get informed about the authors of the early sufi texts. Students get informed about the concepts of “zuhd” “zahid” “sufi” and “tasavvuf” and their origins and related discussions. Students get informed about the first text based on the concept of zuhd: Zühdü’s-semaniye. Students get informed about biography writing of the early era sufi texts. Students learn sufi concepts “hal” “maqam” “mucahede” “keramet” “muhabbetullah” “ashk”.

To introduce early era sufis and their texts, to inform about the themes and concepts of early sufi era.

Weekly Schedule

3) The life of Haris al-Muhasibi, his place in the history of Sufism, and his work titled "er-Riâye.

5) Hakim Tirmizi and his works.
6) The content of Hakim Tirmizi's work titled "Hatmu'l-velâye
