Course Contents

In the first four weeks of the course, the subjects are taught theoretically, then at least eight weeks are planned as volunteering studies in public institutions, local administrations and NGOs and applied in the field, the sharing and presentations of the studies are prepared by the students and shared in the classroom. Contributing to one of the most important duties of the university, to serve the society; strengthening the ties between the university and the society by using the knowledge, skills and knowledge acquired by students throughout their education life; willingly participate in volunteer work.

1) Management, organization and volunteering concepts; Theoretical foundations of volunteering studies, Volunteerism management,
2) Examining volunteering activities / practices at home and abroad
3) Basic volunteering areas; disaster situations, migration and migrants, health and social services
4) Ethical, moral, religious, traditional values and principles in volunteering work,
5) Preparing and developing a project draft related to volunteer work that can be done individually or in groups,
6) To start volunteer work in order to implement the developed projects
7) Interim evaluation / process evaluation regarding the project applied for volunteering activities,
