Course Contents

This course provides knowledge on definition of volleyball; historical development; characteristics of volleyball; dimensions of field; game systems: 4:2 game system; 5:1 game system; 6:0 game system; basic technical training in volleyball: service types, receiving serve, passes, hitting, block, digging, dubs.

Weekly Schedule

1) Information about the historical development of volleyball - from the bottom front service teaching technique
2) Field size (file - direct - top-set numbers - referees) information about - bottom hand ,teaching the technique of service
3) The positions of the ball and strokes
4) Characteristics of strokes and information about some common mistakes
5) Theoretical description of services , service definition, the first set, the first service
6) Theoretical description of the bump technique
7) Theoretical description of the finger passes technique, slam dunk teaching technique
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Theoretical description of the block technique
10) Blocking , and some common mistakes
11) Characteristics of libero, right - left - back teaching techniques
12) The meaning of yellow and red cards
13) 4-2 system, 5-1 system
14) 5-1 system and attack
15) Attack and defence
16) Final examination
