Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Learns the scientific and Turkish names of important weeds that cause problems in horticulture.
2) Gains the ability to recognize important weeds that cause problems in horticulture.
3) Know the biology and ecology of weeds.
4) Gains the ability to know the weed control time and application skills of weed control methods.
5) Learns about the persistence, attachment, disintegration (herbicide-soil relations) of the herbicides.
6) Learns the classification of herbicides and know how to apply them.
7) Knows herbicides and application forms in different herbicide groups.
8) Learn how weeds gain resistance to herbicides and how to avoid them.
9) Knows plant-origin herbicides and how to control weeds in organic agriculture. Gain the knowledge and experience to solve farmer problems about weeds and their control
