Course Contents

Definition of biochemistry and introduction of areas of interest, formation and properties of carbohydrates (monosaccharides, oligosaccharides, polysaccharides), derivative monosaccharides (glycosides phosphate esters, acid and lactones, amino sugars), Photosynthesis and respiration, Lipids, membranes and pigments, enzymes and isoenzymes, amino acids and to provide information on organic acids and proteins and vitamins.
