Course Contents

Electromechanical Control Components; Buttons, Relays, Protection Relays, Contactors, Sensors. Control Components Constructions and Operating Principles. Symbols. Drawing of Electromechanical Control Circuits and Drawing Rules. Electrical Motors Starting; Direct Starting, Continuous Starting, Intermittently Starting, Dual Direct Starting (Change of Turning), Electrical Motors Starting Control Circuits; Starting with Resistor, Inductor, Autotransformer and Star-Delta Switching to Three Phase Induction Motor; Starting with Resistor to Wound-Rotor Motor. Starting to Split-Phase Motor, Universal Motor and DC Motors. Electrical Motors Breaking Control Circuits; Mechanical Breaking, Reverse Current Breaking (instantaneously), Dynamic Breaking. Limiting Switches and Applications. Lift Control. Faults in Electromechanical Control Systems. PLC in Electromechanical Control Systems.

5) Direct, continuous, intermittent operation, and sample applications to change the direction of rotation
6) Star-delta starting, dynamic braking, sample applications
7) Three-phase induction motor starting methods
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Wound rotor three-phase asynchronous motor, gradually giving way to methods and applications
10) Methods of starting single-phase electric motors
11) Methods do not lead to a direct current motors
12) Basic control systems application
13) The control circuit error and faults
14) The use of PLC control systems
15) Example PLC applications
