Course Contents

The basic heating, ventilating, Air Conditioning and refrigeration systems, operating laboratory test units, getting the results calculations and making the conclusions.

Weekly Schedule

1) Course content and information about resource books. Recognition of the laboratories and the overall evaluation
2) Cooling laboratory test equipment
3) Vapor compression refrigeration cycle condenser cooling load and pressure effects research
4) Mixing air conditioning test device
5) Detailed application process of the experiments done with mixing air conditioning experimental device
6) Cooling tower test apparatus
7) Understand the working principle of the cooling tower, calculate the thermodynamic changes between water and air
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Electrical fault finding test equipment
10) Identify electrical faults happened in the hermetic compressor cooling system and fix them
11) Identify main and assistant elements such in a hermetic compressor, make the necessary calculations to find the faults
12) Hermetic compressors, hermetic compressors and electrical elements and the elimination of failures occurred
13) Cooling device fault detection experiment
14) Do applications belonging to faults happened in a normal cooling system
15) Failure of the compressor valve, oil separator failure, overload failure, missing installation failure
16) Final examination
