Asynchronous up counters. Down counters. Binary coded decimal (BCD) counters. Design of synchronous counters. Synchronous counters applications. Registers. Shift registers. Ring and Johnson counters. Converters; digital / analog converters and functions. Types of digital / analog converters. Analog / digital converter functions. Types of analog / digital converters.
