Course Contents

Power semiconductor switches and their characteristics. Definitions and classifications of power converters in power electronics based on the measurement of size. Power electronic switching elements. One and three-phase uncontrolled rectifiers. One and three-phase controlled rectifiers. DC choppers. Switching power supply. Resonant converter. AC choppers. Square-wave inverters. Pulse width modulation (PWM) converter

Weekly Schedule

1) Atomic structure, conductors, semi-conductor PN concept of narrative structure.
2) Diyotunun power structure, work, work curve, the curve structure and operation of the power diode types
3) Thyristors structure, working principles, a working curve. Thyristor types, working principle, working curves and related problems.
4) Thyristor protection circuits and related problems, thyristor triggering circuits, properties.
5) Different power elements (Triac. Diac, etc.)., Structure, principles of operation, the characteristic curves.
6) Different power devices (UJT, PUT, etc.)., Structure, principles of operation, the characteristic curves.
7) Also features an AC load, rectifiers definition, about the kind of classification, one-way single-phase single-pulse rectifier

9) Installed on the principle of inductive single-pulse rectifier and the output curves, free transition when the output changes and problems connected diode.
10) Single-phase uncontrolled, controlled bridge rectifiers, structure, principles of operation, according to the load change output curves, related problems.
