Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Discuss the natural and man-made disasters, past experiences from all over the World and Turkey.
2) Interpret what is vulnerability, and the relation between the development, urbanisation and disasters
3) Recognize earthquake prediction researches, early warning and rapid response systems, structural awareness for seismic safety, non-structural mitigation measures.
4) Evaluate the mitigation measuresprotection from fire, community disaster vonteers.
5) Recognize the mitigation measuresearthquake hazard hunt, family disaster plan.
6) Provide conditions for bussiness continuity in industry in course of disasters.
