Course Contents

Historical development of the secretarial profession; the definition of the secretariat, duties and the types of tasks; the behavioral and emotional features of the secretaries; office equipments and facilities; office productivity, and ergonomic design; filing and indexing systems; the concept of medical secretary; duties, responsibilities and task areas of the medical secretary; the secretary's relationship with patients and the other caregivers; communicating on the telephone; occupational diseases and measures.
