Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Define Medical terms and explains meaning of roots, suffixes and prefix.
2) Use the correct original spelling of medical terms and their meanings.
3) Define medical terms, the standard abbreviations and expansions use the effective of the work process.
4) Implement the original spelling of the names of pathogenic microorganisms and pronunciation of microorganisms names correctly.
5) Using the correct terminology knowledge, improve healthcare quality and provide economic value added.
6) Define of medical terms related to the clinical diagnosis and treatment of diseases and give reputation for health institutions.
7) Using the correct terminology knowledge in the diagnostic laboratories surgical and invasive procedures, avoid the consumption of health care services, supplies.

Course Contents

Introduction to Medical Terminology and Medical Terminology importance of knowledge. Why Medical Terminology training do you need? Exemplifying structural elements and functions that make up medical terms. Medical terms that make up the roots, prefixes, suffixes spelling and exemplifying the vocalization. The basic definitions and terms related to human anatomy and physiology. Information on the clinical diagnosis of diseases and sağaltımlarına explanation of terms and examples. Exemplifying the basic terms relating to methods of laboratory diagnosis of diseases. Commonly used standard medical abbreviations and expansions of health care services with examples. Weekly Schedule

1) Introduction to Medical Terminology, Medical Terminology knowledge of the importance of today.
2) Why the health sector, the teaching of medical terminology is required? (Area of use of the knowledge of medical terminology with samples)
3) Medical terms that make up the structural elements and functions to teach and explain with examples.
4) Medical terms that make up the roots (stems), the original spelling, and vocalists with Samples.
5) Prefixes that make up medical terms (prefixes), the original spelling, and vocalists with samples.
6) Suffixes that make up medical terms (suffixes), the original spelling, and vocalists with samples.
7) Human anatomy and physiology of the examples on the basic definition and explanation of terms.
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Clinical diagnosis and treatment of diseases related to disclosure of information and examples of terms
10) Laboratory diagnosis of diseases (microbiological, hematological, biochemical, histopathological) of the basic terms of teaching methods and examples disclosed.
