Course Contents

The contents of this course is spent in prehistoric times the historical processes of the art of jewelry making and jewelry, jewelry place in the social life in prehistoric times, the importance and the role played by socio-cultural aspects of technical and aesthetic aspects of the jewelery.

1) Prehistoric Age: Upper Paleolithic Age - Deck oneself out in Last Ice Age and the first jewelry.
2) Neolithic Age in jewelry art history.
3) Chalcolithic Age in jewelry art history.
4) Early Bronze Age in jewelry art history.
5) Egyptian civilization in jewelry art history.
6) Egyptian jewelry of form and technical speciality.
7) Anatolia jewelry of characteristics in Early Bronze Age.
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Troy treasures.
10) Asia jewelry techniques in Early Bronze Age.
11) Maritime civilization of Crete: Minos and Miken jewelry characteristics.
12) Period of Hittites in Jewelry art.
13) Europe jewelry in Bronze Age period and Eurasian culture in Iron Age.
14) Phoenicians and the West Asian work of jewelry in Iron Age.
15) Jewelry art of Etruscan and Celtic.
