Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Give information about themselves or the people, objects and events nearby.
2) Use the common English words, expressions and idioms in daily life.
3) Talk about their hobbies, interests, life styles, ambitions, daily and free time activities.
4) Be aware of the common words such as nouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs and prepositions.
5) Form the sentences that show imperatives, possessions, ability, and existance.
6) Use the functions of the language such as saying hello, invitation, offer, request, permission and saying goodbye.
7) Join two or more seperate sentences using conjunctions to make a compound sentence.
8) Develop the awareness of different reading, listening, writing and speaking strategies and skills.

Weekly Schedule

1) Meeting.
2) Meeting, self-introduction, numbers between 0-10. Proficiency Test.
3) Using nouns with indefinite identifiers, asking the equivalent of an English word, forming several sentences with different structures to use in classroom environment.
4) English alphabet. Spelling the names.Talking about family members and personal possessions, possesive adjectives, introducing people and the family.
5) Describing family members. Saying hello and goodbye (greetings), naming a few countries.
6) Using the verb 'to be'. Introducing yourself and using conjunctions for saying sorry
7) Counting the numbers 0-100, using the question form of the verb "to be",saying sorry for the mistakes.
