Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Define the concepts of speech and diction
2) Explain factors distorting the speech, qualifications of a good speaker, four main items of speech, the purposes and benefits of diction; the purposes of voice, the purposes of speaking style
3) Apply knowledge and gained skills related to the types of speech and body language
4) Analyze the basic characteristics, the stages, the elements, the resources of written expression and types of paragraph
5) Evaluate start of topic, sort of thought and development of thought techniques in written expression in terms of defined criterion
6) Associate the relationship between the types of oral expression as oration, panel, symposiums, interview, conference, open session, reportage and seminar

The concept of speech, factors distorting the speech; qualifications of a good speaker; four main items of speech; the concept of diction, the purposes and benefits of diction; the purposes of voice, the purposes of speaking style; body language; to gain knowledge and skills related to the types of speech; the basic characteristics and the stages of written expression; the elements and the resources of written expression; types of paragraph, start of topic techniques in written expression; sort of thought techniques in written expression; development of thought techniques in written expression; types of oral expression (oration, panel, symposiums, interview); types of oral expression (conference, open session, reportage, seminar).
