Course Contents

This course provides students with the knowledge of the concept and the content of communication,basic features, communication process, message, coding, channel and filter information, feedback,office communication and office functions, methods of communication development in offices, communication styles, and communication based on the recognition and implementation of programs.

Weekly Schedule

1) History ,definition and basic concepts of communication
2) Objectives, importance and characteristics of communication and communication process
3) Nonverbal communication. (Importance and characteristics of body language,elements of non-verbal communication)
4) Types of communicatio,oral communication (the importance and the basic principles of oral communication, speaking, listening types,principles for listening skills and oral communication principles)
5) Written communication. Types of text work within business and social life
6) Communication barriers and ways to overcome these barriers
7) Group and mass communication (definitions, communication patterns), communication institutions
8) Midterm examination / Assessment
9) Communication in business life. (applicable communication techniques, formal and informal communication,lateral and vertical communication)
10) Communication in business life.(telephone conversation, meetings, effective presentations)
