Course Contents

This course equips candidates with in-depth knowşedge on characteristics of electrical fields, calculation and evaluation of electrical fields, townsend mechanism, vacuum insulation, ionization, avalanche and breakdown of gas at low pressure, streamer mechanism, arc and corona in gas at high pressure, lightning formation and protection against lightning, impulse voltages, insulation coordination, surge arresters, generation of high voltages, instrumentation of high voltages and currents, breakdown analysis, liquid, solid insulators and combinations of insulators, partial discharges and their measurements, and dielectric loss measurements
