Course Contents

This course provides candidates with profound knowledge on; VLSI design methodologies, basic digital VLSI systems, static and dynamic MOS and CMOS logic circuit implementations, optimum design issue ( power consumption, speed, layout area), Review of basic analog VLSI systems (schematic level design and analysis), Analog Physical Layout issues, Matching issue in CMOS Analog VLSI Design, Mixed-Signal Circuits, building blocks (Comparators, ADCs, DACs), Signal Integrity problems in Mixed-mode circuits, System-on-Chip (SoC) designs, design term projects and their presentations.
