Course Contents

Definition of boundary layer and examples. Navier- Stoke’s equations. Special cases of flow equations. Boundary layer solutions Boundary layer development in pipes. Boundary layer development in open channels. Boundary layer development in turbulent flows. Mix length transfer of momentum hypotheses. Logarithmic profile. Laminated lower layer, rough and smooth surfaces. Turbulant flows in pipes and open channels.
