2) Limitations, considerations and parameters to be used in bioreactor design
3) Bioreactor design aspects I (Construction material, geometry, configuration of main components)
4) Bioreactor design aspects II (Aeration, agitation, heat and mass transfer, foaming, power consumption)
5) Bioreactor design aspects III (Modes of bioreactor operation such as batch, fed-batch, continuous, multistage, recycle)
6) Bioreactor design aspects IV (Bioreactor types: traditional (CSTR, bubble column, air-lift, plug flow, packed bed, solid state surface...) and novel bioreactor types
7) Scale up and scale down in bioreactors
8) Mid Term Exam / Assessment
