Course Contents

Selection of cutting tools for the machining of titanium and its alloys and composite materials used in advanced engineering applications. Cutting tool materials used in machining of aluminum and its alloys. Machining of hard materials. Machining of metal and polymer matrix composites. Cutting tools used in modern machining methods. Fundamentals of high speed and precision machining. Cutting tool vibration and cutting dynamics. Measurement and surface quality in machining.
