Course Contents

This course covers Adaptive Runga-Kutta methods in solving ordinary differential equations, stiffness and multi-step methods, boundary value and eigenvalue problems; solution of elliptic, parabolic and hyperbolic equations using Finite Difference Method (FDM), solution of one and two dimensional problems with Finite Element Method (FEM), steepest ascent optimization method, Fletcher-Reeves method, Marquardt method, Quasi-Newton method, generalized reduced gradient (GRG) search method and penalty function method.
