Course Contents

This course equips candidates with in-depth knowledge on site analysis, on-site, off-site characteristics, natural systems, climate and orientation, landforms, site evaluation methods, construction density ratio and land-use intensity criteria’s, need, architectural program, function, form, structure, principles of spatial organization; analysis of natural and man-made environment with respect to environmental design problem; place making, image- meaning-life scenario relationships; standards and regulations affecting the formulation of architectural product, Anatolia and ottoman monumental buildings, their spatial, form, frontage, structural design characteristics and language of form, characteristics of Anatolian traditional urban pattern and residential architecture.
