1) Instructing student about the existing and continuously developing healthcare facility projects, designs and applications in Turkey and the world
2) Examining the fastly changing and developing health facility design standarts in our country and the world with all its sides.
3) Informing the student about health facility design that has a specific typology and necessitate different architectural design approaches, contributing his specialization about the issue, and decreasing the number of existing unqualified staff in this field in our country.
4) Examining health facilities not only with its architectural dimension, but also in terms of its contemporary engineering and technological applications side.
5) Providing background for the student to learn about contemporary building materials, construction techniques, civil engineering technologies, the existing project and construction processes and conditions that are concretely efficient in the practical medium

Health facilities that witness very significant changes and require complex design and construction processes, will be examined with all its sides within the scope of this course; and the standards and applications of all the technical disciplines (architecture being in the first place) related especially with the design of large scaled hospitals, will be evaluated accordingly. In this framework, the course will include evaluations about hospitals and their design standards, hospital-environment relationship, hospital-user relationship and the relation of concepts such as accessibility, usability and sustainability with hospital design. The daily applications and standards related with health facilities will be shown together with the introduction of the existing architectural projects by the way of several presentations and expressions. Besides, some documents and articles including information about the health facility (especially) design, its units and operation will be distributed to students while giving digital and visual sources related with all the technical and administrative regulations and laws effecting health facility construction processes.
