Course Contents

Introduction to Project management (Definitions of Project management, project objectives, classification of projects, Project planning, organizational structures in Project management). Manager's role in project management. Project management functions and stages. Project management control cycle. Fundamentals of project design. Project planning and control methods (Network models in Operations Research, Gantt charts, CPM-Critical Path Method, PERT-Program Evaluation and Review Technique, Calculation of project completion time, finding the critical path, calculation of abundance), Computer-aided tools in Project programming (MS Project), To prepare a sample project with the MS Project, Cost and time management in project programming.

1) Introduction to Project Management (project management definitions, project objectives, the classification of projects, project planning, project management, organizational structures)
2) Manager's role in project management. Project management functions and stages. Project management control cycle. The basic principles of project planning.
3) Project Planning and Control Methods (Gantt charts, Network analysis in Operations Research, from Gantt diagram to the method of CPM and PERT)
4) Project Planning and Control Methods (CPM-Critical Path Method)
5) Project Planning and Control Techniques (PERT-Program Evaluation and Review Technique)
6) Project Planning and Control Methods (project completion time calculations, finding the critical path, calculation of abundances )
