Course Contents

The course deals with the following subjects: Place in the contitutional system of military bureaucracy and its the powers; The period of the Ottoman reformation, the First and the Second Ottoman Constitutional Periods, the Turkish War of Independence, single-party period of the Republic of Turkey, transition period to multy-party system and the governments’ policies during 1950’s, military coups (1960, 1971, and 1980).
