Course Contents

This course equips candidates with in-depth knowledge on the concept of development: the meaning and dimensions, developing countries, capital accumulation: the importance of and sources; distribution of source : mechanisms and criteria; development theories: theories of historical development (Marx, Rostow, Kuznets); dualism, labor supply and development; balanced unbalanced development, socio-political factors, dependence and development, technical conditions and development, sustainable development.
