Course Contents

This course equips candidates with in-depth knowledge on the concept of consumer culture and the historical stages of capitalism and consumer culture in the process of development, life styles and media; fordist period, consumer culture, life styles and media, post-fordist period, consumer culture, life style, Debord, Baudrillard and the media, the adventure of the indicators; Bourdieu and consumption of symbols ; post-fordist period, consumer culture, media and leisure activities, consumer culture and media in Turkey, Turkey, the transformation of everyday life and the media, popular culture and consumption in Turkey.
