1) Demonstrates knowlege and skills need for an understanding of how society, culture and an individual changes through the new media.
2) Analyzes the effects of new media both on the individuals and the society with in social, political, economical and cultural context.
3) Uses sociological conceptual frameworks for asking questions about experiences and developments in new media.
4) Explores the relationship between identity, community, civic engagement, democracy, privacy, representation, social movements and new media.
5) Discusses how new media practices problematize experiences of time and space.
