2) Explain phonological and morphological characteristics of Old Anatolian Turkish.

Course Contents

This course studies the period of XIIIth- XIVth centuries Ottoman Turkish. The grammar of this dialect will be given in detail, based on original texts. A course concentrating on textual study wich included the phonetic, syntactic, semantic and structural comparison of Old Turkish Old Anatolian Turkish and Modern Turkish. Studies selected texts manuscript in Old Ottoman Turkish. Given general information about Old Anatolian Turkish period in the history of Turkish language; its writers, literature and bibliografic data.
