Turkey and the European Court of Human Rights
Historical background of human rights concept, the content of human rights catalogue (civil and political rights and freedoms, economic, social and cultural rights, solidarity rights), group rights (women's rights, rights of the child, rights of minorities, etc.), sources and mechanisms of the international human rights law (international protection system of the United Nations and the European, inter-American, and African regional protection systems), presentations on some selected specific human rights and freedoms (for example, right to life, freedom from torture, right to a fair trial, freedom of expression, etc.), fundamental human rights problems in the world and in Turkey at the beginning of 21st century.
