Course Contents

Definition, importance and historical development of public relations, theories on public relations, investigating public relations campaigns which uses PR theories will be studied in this course.

Weekly Schedule

1) Definition of public relations, the importance and historical development will be explained.
2) Theories of public relations will be described.
3) Public Relations campaign process (four step)will be discussed with case studies.
4) It will be examined Public Relations main tools and methods.
5) It will be explained public relations writing (publicity, bulletin, annual report etc.)
6) Crisis management in PR (proaktive and reactive approach) will be discussed.
7) Corporate identity and reputation will be explained.
8) Midterm Exam
9) Public relations and media relations will be discussed generally.
10) It will be examined media planning in PR.
11) It will be discussed fotograph using in PR.
12) It will be explained new media (internet, social networks).
13) It will be discussed preparing informative materials related to press.
14) It will be explained using media internal PR.
